Dear Joy Partners,

How are you? I hope that you are doing fine. I'm sorry that I have not written to you for a while but with good reason. In October, Henry Chong who is the director of Singpetra Mission and I traveled to the mid-west and held seven evangelistic meetings. We had more than 50 people who came forward and accepted the Lord. Praise to God and thank you for your prayers.

This year marks Joy Partner's 5th anniversary. We decided to celebrate by having two Chinese evangelistic meetings here in Los Angeles. We had a wonderful time giving God the glory for His goodness.

We had two keyboard training seminars in China this year. At the last one, over 50 people came from different provinces in China. The next training seminar will be in April of 2006.

We have produced several CDs this past year and they are being used for a variety of purposes in our ministry. Below is a brief description of these recent and upcoming releases:

  1. "Learning English through Singing" is a children's CD. Since the children in China start learning English in kindergarten, we thought this would be a good way to introduce the Good News. Through your prayers and generous donations we were able to sign a contract with a bookstore in China to produce  the CDs. Please continue to pray that we will be granted permission from the Chinese government to produce the CDs.
  2. After two years we finally finished recording our 5th children's CD, "Happy All the Time". All the mixing is done and now we are just waiting for the completion of the graphic layout and cover art.

  3. A year ago we completed a Mandarin version of a CD called "Green Pastures". Now, an English version has just been completed. When my husband John was sick in the hospital, he wanted to hear traditional hymns and inspirational Bible readings. I searched for such a CD but was unable to locate one so I decided to produce a CD that would fulfill that purpose. I enlisted the help of Jerry Edinger, a well-known Christian radio host of "Night Watch" to speak comforting and inspirational messages from the Bible. Another good friend Gary Strauss who is a professor at Biola University sings eleven traditional hymns in his beautiful and inspirational voice. I'm sure you would really enjoy listening to this CD.
  4. "Just for Today" is a 365 day devotional CD. The script was written by Dr. Harold Sala who is the president of Guidelines, Inc. He is a well respected Bible scholar and his programs are broadcasted in over 600 radio stations in different parts of the world. This is an on going project that involves translation, music production and the use of many talents. I'm sure this will be a great blessing and useful tool for Christian growth to many new believers. Please continue to pray and support this ongoing project.

As for myself, I recently found out that I am in the early stages of diabetes. It's no surprise to me since both of my parents were diagnosed with it. And my brother was diagnosed several years ago. So now I am on a no-carb diet and exercise but fortunately I do not require any medication at this time. This is extremely hard on me, since so many foods that I love to eat are carbohydrates especially rice which I enjoy with every meal since I was young. Other than that, health wise I am feeling fine. Please continue to pray for me. May God continue to bless you!
