Dear Joy Partners,
Recently, I returned from my trip to China & Korea. During the last three weeks, the Lord has
protected and blessed me. I know that many of you have been praying for me and I want to thank you so much for your prayers. It's great to have partners like you!
Trip to China & Korea On this trip, Joy Partners was able to send three of us to China. Once again, Chi Ling Huang volunteered
his time to train people on how to use electronic piano keyboards. There were 40 churches and 100 trainees who attended the sessions. Many of them were blessed and they promised to return to their churches to serve as
accompanists for their congregations. Another volunteer, Gloria taught a class on inner healing and I taught a class about family matters. These topics are seldom taught in China's churches
even though they are so important to Christian living.
After two weeks in China, I traveled to Cheju, Korea where I attended Korea FEBC's 50th Anniversary. I praise God on how
He has blessed FEBC Korea!
In August, Chi Ling and I will be returning to China for more keyboard training. We will need to raise $4000.00 for 20 keyboards and traveling expenses. (If you would like to
contribute, please mark the box of "music" on the enclosed envelope). May our faithful God continue to supply all our needs.
Family Series DVD By faith, Joy Partners has partnered with Guidelines International to produce 10,000 sets of family Series DVDs. We promised to support 1000
copies of the cost, which was $5000. Near the due date, we were only able to raise $4000. That week one of my old friends
whom I haven't seen for a long time called and invited me to have lunch. During lunch, she handed me an envelope that I
thought was a prayer letter from her organization so I put it aside to read it at home. However, she told me to open it and I
discovered a check for $1,000! I was so surprised because I knew that her organization could have really used the money.
She said, "You're right. We do need the money for ourselves, but we want to have a part in your China Family Series DVD
Project." Isn't it wonderful how the Lord supplies our needs in ways that we can't even imagine! Praise the Lord!
One Bowl of Wontons in China
We had a very delicious bowl of wontons in China and it only cost us 12 cents! A
countryside preacher's salary is only about $50 a month. As you can see, a small amount of money can go a long way in China. Remember the story of the widow's mite? No matter
how much we are able to give, it will always help to enlarge the kingdom of God! Mark 6:34 says, when Jesus saw the great multitude He was moved with compassion. Please pray
that many partners will see this vision of reaching out by giving to China (100% of the donations go directly to China). May God bless you.
Witnessing to the locals in China.
